Gospel sensation Sonnie Agyeman Badu graced the studios of Sunny FM and TV to share exciting news about his forthcoming album, Intimacy, and the inspiration behind it as well as his family. Not only did Sonnie give us an in-depth look into his creative process, but he also treated listeners to an exclusive preview of unreleased tracks from his album, leaving the audience in awe.

Sonnie Badu describes Intimacy as a love album, saying it encapsulates the fullness of his life and musical journey. He candidly shared that at one point unfortunatley, he was ready to step away from music. “I was done with music,” he said, “but my wife told me, ‘You’ve done it all, but your children haven’t seen you perform on that stage yet.’”

Now a father of six, Sonnie revealed that his children are his biggest fans and that family has become central to his music. “What people don’t know about me is that I’m a shy boy,” Sonnie confessed, adding that many of the songs on Intimacy were created in some of his most private moments, such as while showering. He believes God used all kinds of people to inspire these songs including his little daughter Alana, making this album even more special to him.
