Notice the word Peter uses — cast. Not "manage" your anxiety. Not "push through" it quietly. Cast it, the way you'd throw something away from yourself entirely, putting real distance between you and the weight.
Most of us don't do this. We hold our worries close, turning them over and over, convinced that if we just think about them hard enough we'll find our way out. But Peter isn't offering a coping technique — he's pointing to a relationship. "He cares for you" is the reason the casting works. You're not throwing your anxiety into a void; you're handing it to Someone who is actually paying attention to your life.
If you've been carrying something heavy today — a diagnosis, a financial pressure, a relationship that feels uncertain — this verse isn't asking you to pretend it doesn't matter. It's inviting you to stop carrying it like it's yours to solve alone.
He cares. That's not a small thing. That's the whole reason you can let go.
