Museveni Hosts Pastor Adeboye at State Dinner During Apostolic Visit to Uganda

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni welcomed the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, to a state dinner in Entebbe this week.

The dinner was one stop on Pastor Adeboye's broader apostolic visit to Uganda, a trip that brought him into contact with several Christian leaders and public figures across the country.

Redemption Television Ministry shared news of the gathering on X, thanking the Ugandan President and First Lady on behalf of the RCCG for hosting the couple.

A Bishop Is Consecrated

The visit carried extra significance for the Museveni family. Pastor Patience Museveni Rwabwogo, the President's daughter, was consecrated as a bishop in a historic service officiated by Pastor Adeboye himself.

The RCCG marked the occasion publicly, celebrating the new bishop and describing the ceremony as a landmark moment for the church's leadership in the region.

Fellowship With Bishop LaDonna Osborn

Pastor Adeboye's Uganda itinerary also included time with Bishop Dr. LaDonna Osborn, CEO of Osborn Ministries International. The two met in Kampala for what was described as a season of strategic fellowship between the church leaders.

Pastor Adeboye remains one of the continent's most influential Christian voices, leading a church with congregations and mission outposts spread across Africa and beyond. This latest visit to Uganda underscored the deepening ties between the country's leadership and the wider body of Christ across East Africa.
