Team Eternity Opens Up on Faith, Teamwork and 'The Promise' on Sunny FM's iMdrive

Behind Team Eternity's music is a demanding rhythm of prayer, rehearsals, professional careers and personal sacrifice. Speaking on Sunny 88.7 FM's iMdrive, members of the gospel group offered a candid glimpse into the commitment that sustains their ministry and the values shaping their journey.

Founded by Nii Lartey in 2013, Team Eternity began with a vision to share the gospel through worship. As the group has grown, that vision has been supported by an emphasis on structure, accountability and character.

For the team, building a lasting ministry takes more than finding talented singers. Members explained that leadership looks beyond musical ability to consider spiritual depth, integrity and the willingness to serve alongside others.

The group brings together people with expertise in fields including law, medicine and communications. Those professional skills contribute to its operations, helping members support the ministry beyond the stage.

Character before the spotlight

Managing a team of roughly 50 people means bringing different personalities, expectations and responsibilities into harmony.

During the conversation, members described a leadership approach that addresses internal concerns directly. They likened the process to "surgery": confronting issues that could undermine the group's unity and dealing with them to preserve the health of the team.

Their reflections highlighted how much of a music ministry's work happens away from the microphone. Maintaining relationships, accepting correction and honouring commitments all play a part in what audiences eventually experience.

Balancing ministry, work and relationships

The group also spoke openly about the pressures of combining ministry with everyday life.

Many members must fit rehearsals, travel and performances around their professional responsibilities. The demands can be exhausting, and the team acknowledged that a heavy schedule sometimes places strain on personal lives and relationships.

That honesty offered listeners a fuller picture of the people behind the music. Their ministry requires an ongoing effort to balance service, careers and time with loved ones.

The prayer and preparation behind 'The Promise'

Team Eternity also discussed The Promise (Phase One), describing the album as the product of intense prayer and rigorous rehearsals.

The project explores different musical styles while keeping worship at the centre of its message. For the group, versatility provides an opportunity to connect with a wider audience while remaining grounded in its calling.

Members also spoke about plans for Phase Two, pointing towards the next chapter of their musical journey.

Throughout the iMdrive conversation, a consistent picture emerged: Team Eternity's sound is shaped by more than the voices listeners hear. Behind it are shared convictions, difficult conversations, disciplined preparation and a continuing desire to communicate the gospel through music.
