Speaking with Jennifer and Agyemang on the Inspirational Morning Drive’s Flourish Series, she addressed the silent pressures many young girls face while growing up.
According to her, many girls are raised believing they must be prettier, quieter, smarter, more perfect, and more liked just to deserve love and acceptance. However, she emphasized that true confidence is not built through perfection, but through safety, consistency, encouragement, and a strong sense of identity.
She explained that a confident girl is not one who never fails, but one who understands that failure does not define who she is.
“A confident girl knows her voice matters. She knows she can say no without guilt. She understands that rejection is an experience, not a definition. And she knows she does not need to shrink herself to fit into rooms that dishonor her,” she shared.
Her message served as a powerful reminder to parents, guardians, and society at large to intentionally raise girls who remain true to themselves instead of losing their identity in the pursuit of love and acceptance.
